What is TechClub all about then?
A group of like-minded people into technology regardless of what course or job you doing as long as you are interested in developing your skills, learning and sharing. TechClub also promotes the #inspire initiative to all which is there to promote technology as a passion and creating your own opportunities.
What will it do?
Below is the excerpt from UEL@TechClub that still stands but TechClubUK has evolved into something bigger than just supporting students exclusively at UEL. It’s now moving across the UK and no longer just for students at university instead open to all.
“Hold conferences, hack days, boot camps and other events to improve member’s skills and create a tech community within originally in UEL (and in London) that is currently missing. Highlight some of the great stuff out there that student can take advantage of like internships, external events, competitions and tools.
The key aim is to add value and gain new experiences to your CV that normal academic activities would not cover.”
What is with all these names @TechClubLondon, @TechClubUK @CodeClub @TechClub?
Essentially adapting to the type of club it is. All of them have access to the resources, knowledge and skills. Visit our project pages to see the names in action.
Hold on is this a one man operation?
Technically speaking no! as it involves a network of people to be a club and it’s no fun doing it on my own. I welcome you to contact us directly if you want take upon a role (remember it’s unpaid) in supporting TechClub but you get lots of kudos and experiences that money can’t buy.
